The MCCA transgenic facility provides all services related to the generation of genetically engineered mice using both our in-house developed GEMM-ESC pipeline and new gene editing technologies. The mice are generated in a Specific Pathogen Free (SPF) environment. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org, to request a consultation for a new mouse strain, learn about our conditions and get a quotation.
All new mouse strains are generated with full-service covering the design and all hands-on steps as DNA engineering, ESC manipulation, micro-injection and screening of the offspring. The MCCA transgenic facility uses a wide variety of approaches to generate new genetically modified mouse strains. The mouse genome is either modified in embryonic stem cells or directly in mouse zygotes. The methods to modify the mouse genome vary from classic homologous recombination using a targeting construct, to recombinase mediated cassette exchange (RMCE), transponson systems and new gene editing applications. A detailed overview of our capabilities can be found here.
